I think you have to be in K-Pop fandom to feel this way, because as someone who has absolutely no ties to that fandom, I simply enjoyed the scene for being a fun battle sequence with a jokingly poppy song underneath. I guessed the song to be K-Pop and just thought it was appropriate. And I thought the whole sequence fit perfectly for the silly irreverence this show specializes in.

That's how I felt as well, and I also am not in K-pop fandom. So I think that you might be right.
