In the olden days, the fic archive site I was on only tagged for the genre, violence, and G - NC-17 rating, plus a summary (since it was a ship specific site). That was simple. To the point. Done.

When I started on AO3, I initially thought it was funny (I don't do tumblr, so not used to the forever tags), but now it's annoying, unless there's a really good funny tag. I'm okay with relevant tags, but "idk wtf I'm doing"/"cutesy/X character is a total BAMF" type of tags makes me roll my eyes. Children. I don't have time for this shit. Explain yourself in the summary decently so I can decide if I want to read your shit or not. I don't care for your jokes.
