I'm just glad that this show finally killed Maul. I don't care if it was Lucas' idea, it was a *terrible* notion to bring him back after he got bisected by a damn lightsaber in E1. Especially terrible since the whole reason seems to be "but he looked SO COOL!" Cool character designs are NOT hard to come up with for a series like Star Wars.

God help you if you say this in hearing of his rabid fanboys, though. Good god, some of them still insist he's STILL not really dead yet.

I never thought he looked particularly cool, tbh. The whole face paint and horns thing just looks like someone who's into body modification to the point where they don't care about holding down a regular job.

Personally I hated Spider Maul in Clone Wars but Rebels did really interesting things with him. He planted seeds in Esra's arc that, frankly, the show forgot to cultivate and were sadly forgotten.
