People interpret the ending where she shuts the door figuratively in Kylo's face that she has rejected him permanently. Personally, I didn't think they had that much sexual tension and Rey didn't seem too interested in Kylo sexually. At this point I don't think it's likely they will get together. I think they kinda have a Snape/Lily thing going where Kylo is more into Rey than Rey is into him, and Kylo picking the dark side over Rey ends any possibility of there being a relationship (like Snape choosing his Death Eater friends over Lily and the whole calling her a mudblood mess).

That's just where I feel the story is right now. It could become canon which is meh to me. I think I'm the only person who is just blah about Reylo. Don't love it or hate it. It's just sorta there for me. But honestly that's how all Star Wars ships feel to me.

I don't love or hate Reylo... I might even say I like it a little, but I'm not rooting for it to happen in canon at all. And I think what you're saying makes sense.
