I write for me. I write ideas that appeal to me, that intrigue me, that I'm interested in seeing. I don't sign up for exchanges or fests because I've found I can't write for them, I don't care about them.

Most of my fanfic is unposted.

That being said, when I'm really struggling (I'm clinically diagnosed with depression and on both meds and in therapy for it) I tend to update more often, because hearing that people enjoy what I write (what I wrote for me) makes it easier to get through the day, just knowing I made other people happy and that even if I feel like I've got nothing of worth to offer people, they enjoyed my story and don't think I'm worthless.
