Definitely not for hits or kudos. In fact, I have both of those disabled on my account, so I don't get to see them.

I write because I feel there's something missing in the canon I consumed. Some implication that I need to explore a bit deeper, or a missing scene between two episodes, or a piece of characterization that I feel needed to be added.

So, mostly to get some thoughts of my chest and fill the perceived holes in canon material. Which means my fics are rather short and not very popular, I guess. Hence, disabling hits/kudos. *g*
