But at the same time Ugh. I say this as a strict vegetarian: People who think they have any right to police somone else dietary choices - As long as they are legal - need to knob off.

I mean, He's raising those animals, right? That means he has far more control over how cruelly treat those animals are. Every other meat eater has no idea of the vile shit that was done to the animals that make their way to their plate. He KNOWS and is directly responsible for the lives of the animals he's eating. Everyone else just had to hope no-one raped the chicken to death before it got cooked.

My feeling is that eating animals that have been raised humanely ideal if you're gong to eat meat. And IMO, you're never going to convince everyone to go vegetarian. We might be forced to do that, or at least drastically reduce meat consumption. But in general, humane treatment of the animals we use for food is probably the most practical solution.
