My feeling is that eating animals that have been raised humanely ideal if you're gong to eat meat. And IMO, you're never going to convince everyone to go vegetarian. We might be forced to do that, or at least drastically reduce meat consumption. But in general, humane treatment of the animals we use for food is probably the most practical solution.
