I turned 50 last year. I'm trying to acknowledge that I am now an Old Person but it's so depressing. (Nothing against Old People just... yeah.)

Don't worry, you're not really old. I say this because my parents are late 50s/early 60s, and they'll always be in their 40s for me...so they're not old until they're 84. And neither are. Also, you're a nice user here!

Hell, I am in my mid thirties, but I heard pop music growing up, which was, logically, from the eighties, and dad played his favourite seventies bands in the car on long journeys (and sixties bands, too).

I form the impression that OP is very young and grew up in a home that didn't like music much.

As a 50+ reader, I'm not sure whether I should be appalled you're calling me old or...laugh it off.

I think I'll laugh it off.

(Anonymous) 2018-02-27 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
me too

I'm laughing, too. I'm not old, baby, I'm vintage.

I'm in my mid thirties, and feel I've been shoved into the old people category here, given that I can recall a lot of eighties music from the first time around!
