I don't assume that people I've never met will live up to some standard of attractiveness that exists only in my head. I don't assume that my friends will know any preferences I have unless I tell them.

I've been set up with people I didn't click with romantically. I try to make the best of it and get to know them a bit. I sometimes even get a new friend out of it.

I don't expect anyone to fall madly in love with me at first sight and overlook the fact that I'm awkward or that my teeth aren't straight. I don't expect to fall for anyone that way either. I hope I meet someone I want to get to know better. Maybe we enjoy each other's company and a relationship comes out of that.

I probably wouldn't set you up with my more attractive friends either if you turned down my "ugly" friends. My friends deserve better that to only be wanted because they're good looking.

If I went out with one of your unattractive friends and they had a shitty personality I wouldn't want them either.
