I suppose the real question is why you hate them? are they poorly written, just not to your taste..? Because there's a lot of perfectly valid reasons. Being someone's friend doesn't mean liking their work—but you should be honest with her. If you don't like the work, it's hard to beta it well. Possible, but hard. I can see why this would be a secret though. (hug)
