131. I say do it! Pokémon costumes are very well-received at conventions in general, and I'd be very surprised if anyone called you a furry for wearing a Pokémon costume. The majority of anime fans like Pokémon or at least recognize them.

I'm not a furry at all, but I do mascot costumes from various anime series (I have six of them!), and I only occasionally get called a furry as a result. If I do hear someone saying "Oh look, a furry!" or something to that effect, I just go "Nope, not a furry! :)" My costumes are generally loved by almost everyone and I have a lot of fun in them... I don't think you should restrict yourself just because of what some random people you may never see again might possibly think of you.

I agree, though--it is irritating that people jump to that conclusion so quickly and easily. Sometimes a cute fuzzy animal costume is just a cute fuzzy animal costume, you know?
