Either you're forgetting how exciting new obsessions can be, or you're one of the sort who think, "OMG! How dare Rose/Doctor fans even exist on the same planet as me!!!"

There's so much whinging. People, Harley doesn't enter Joker's life this early. It's like demanding Tim Drake before Dick Grayson (we're not getting them either). Geez. I love her too, but she doesn't belong in this movie. The best you could ask for would be a glimpse of her in the asylum when Joker is locked up, but that would STILL be pushing it.

Secondly, I'm not comparing The Dark Knight to the DCAU (nothing really compares to DCAU). I'm comparing to my comic Batman love and the crap that was the original movies. I liked Bale's work in the first movie. I'm reserving judgment on Ledger. This of it this way, maybe he doesn't do 'the voice' but at least he isn't Nickelson, and his work in everything else I've seen him in was decent to awesome, even if the movie itself was less than spectacular. I plan to keep an open mind.

How many incarnations of the first part of Batman are there going to be though? We had Joker without Harley in the early 90's (or was it '89?), do we really need that again? Is it that difficult to just skip ahead?

I know what you mean ;A;) a friend of mine talks to me about her wanting to do mascot costumes from time to time from different video games (animal crossing, pokemon, etc.) and she's in no way a furry. But whenever she tells me about it, part of me is withering inside at the thought of her being mistaken for one. Because I've seen furries ruin Pokemon, too, it doesn't even matter if they recognize it or not. Like someone said, just steer clear of creepy masks and such and maybe you'll be okay. :(

140- Yeah, Mark Hamill is THE Joker, no question about it. However, I'm really excited to see Ledger in the role, since it seems like he's done some really interesting things with it. I must say, though, Hamill has just the perfect balance of absolutely malicious glee and scary evilness. It's pretty hard to top that. XD It looks like Ledger's Joker will definitely be different, but still awesome.

Where's Harley? Um, where the fuck is Dick Grayson?! He's my favourite character and I wish he was in the film so badly, but they'd probably fuck him or the film up if he was in there, just like in every other Batman movie ever. :/

Well, you see, the first Batman movie has to be remade (for some reason)... you know, God forbid they skip ahead in time so Harley can be in the movie.

Oh, I just cannot resist commenting on this one!
For some reason my mind always paired Matt with the female part of the cast - at first it was Misa, then Sayu (okay, this will be strange: I have always imagined them meeting in a run down club in London - in this setting Matt was a photographer, who told Sayu that she should start a modelling career xD), then came Takada, and now I think that he would look good with Lidner.

After my mind had given up on throwing Sayu in Matt's arms, she just waltzed over to Mello :D . Come on, a terrorist and policeman's daughter? So cliché xD! In my personal canon (which is totally crazy) Mello is from Slovenia and they meet during an armed uprising in the aforementioned country (and I sincerely have no idea why there is an uprising in Slovenia :P).

Ah, yes... I am strange.

Slovenia is the least messy Balkan country, actually.
