What movie/show/game/whatever has gotten worse for you over repeated viewings?

Lord of the Rings movies

I love LOTR world but the films are not aging well. The problems with the Hobbit movies are present (to a smaller degree) in the LOTR films too and I can't ignore them as I used to.

I kind of agree. I still love them. But every time I watch more things bug me.

Cabin in the Woods. Liked it the first time but repeated viewing are meh.

Other than a couple really good episodes, Scrubs was not nearly as good. And I didn't even finish it because I got sick of the Eliot/JD stuff.

I still really loved Scrubs when I watched it again, but I will concede the JD/Eliot stuff gets very old very quick, but I also just mostly skipped a lot of that to get to characters/relationships I liked.

Rise of the Guardians. It's not a bad movie but it gets less enjoyable to me every time I watch it, which is a shame because the characters are fun.

I still find Friends fun, but a lot of the jokes are very cringey to me as an adult and the homophobia that undercurrents the whole show is very off-putting in places. S4-5 were my favourites and atm the only reason I'm still watching it is for Monica/Chandler but I can see myself giving up in s7 when the whole Ross/Rachel tangle comes back in full-force.

Another person who is all for Monica/Chandler while loathing Ross/Rachel? Hold me

The funny thing is I can remember liking Ross/Rachel as a kid, but when I caught re-runs when I was older I was like 'why the fuck did I ever root for them, they're horrible together' and my mind has not be swayed since then.

Monica/Chandler work in their own weird but completely perfect way. Ross and Rachel are just a mess that the show tries to convince you is 'true love' but is more just a car crash waiting to happen. They do care for and love one another, but they really don't work as a romantic couple.

I just loved the way Monica and Chandler rubbed off of each other. With Ross and Rachel, I pretty much agree with your asesssment, but there's also how I always felt like the reason they picked it up again was to please the fans :/

Yeah they were so good together, and brought out the best in each other rather than the worst. And I smiled so hard when they got married because it was perfect. :3

Whereas Ross and Rachel only ever really brought out each other's worst insecurities and issues. Yeah, I wonder if it was done just to make fans happy as well, but it just annoyed me. Constant 'will they, won't they' is aggravating to me, either let it be a slow-burn or let them be together without constantly having them fighting or breaking them up and getting them together over, and over.

Me. I wasn't ever invested in Ross/Rachel at all, because at first I didn't really like them as characters and then I got fed up with the whole "will they/won't they that was always going to end in will they, duh".

In retrospect, a lot of the plot in Ghost Trick only works because the characters are idiots. The most competent and active one by far is the Pomeranian.

How so? I find a lot of them quite intelligent and human, if a bit reckless.

Cold Case. It's not terrible or anything but I watched a whole bunch and then burnt out on it.

Conan the Barbarian, it's getting harder to just edit out the issues about Arnold's life at the time.

Ended up rewatching the original Prime Suspect, and there are aspects that I'm not sure have aged well.

I have both the Baldur's Gate remasters and honestly have not gotten very far into them. I never thought the core D&D rules worked all that well off the tabletop and the Infinity Engine just feels clunky as a turn-based system after all this time.
