I haven't read haikyuu fanfic in a looooong time. I think fanfic, in general, you have to dig through a lot of garbage to reach the good stuff.

But the amount of fanfics doesn't mean the rest of the fandom is as active. Haikyuu used to be way more popular but the fandom activity itself has been kinda slow lately. Especially since a lot of the popular fanartist aren't around anymore.

Also probably because most people just watch the anime and ignore the manga completely. I know some people were disappointed that s3 was a shorter season focused entirely on one match.

I wish more people were reading the manga now. The recent arc has been really good IMO.
