90% of ~classics.

It was only in the past three years that I've seen The Matrix.

I'd say no. I really liked it when it came out. Even semi-enjoyed the sequels. But it just feels really dated now, and there are better movies with the same messages/themes.

I like it, but I love that late 90's tech aesthetic.

I think so. The first one has some neat scenes/looks/ideas that are kind of part of a lot of later sci-fi things. Worth checking out for a popcorn movie.

It depends. At the time it was really groundbreaking re: special effects, but it won't be to modern eyes.

I'd argue for seeing it if you're interested in pop culture or film history. Personally I still like some of the underlying themes and ho they're worked out. But, it does coome across as slightly dated by now.
