Sorry. Basically, there are different types of elves. But all are to some level ethereally beautiful. And beauty and physical prowess aren't opposites. Some of the most powerful, most skilled elves are also the most beautiful. So Tauriel being a different type of elf doesn't mean she shouldn't be ethereally beautiful.
