Gotta be honest, the fact that you are insisting the words "I think I'm in love!" as no homo does read as really fucking homophobic.

Seriously. It's a really gross double standard that when a character does something like that towards a character of the opposite sex it will immediately be taken as being a canon declaration of love, yet if they do it towards a character of the same sex, no, it's just admiration or really strong friendship, no homo!

It is just really strong friendship tho. You can read Death of the Author if you want, but if you were at all familiar with anime and manga tropes, you'd know this happens all the time and it is very much a no homo in canon.

I am familiar with anime and manga. Please show me all of these anime and manga where characters talk about being in love with their friends of the same sex but don't really mean it because I sure as hell haven't encountered those.

Saying that another girl is cute/pretty? Sure. Being impressed by/envious of another girl's figure? Sure. Outright declarations of love? Uh, no.

wtf. Anime and manga OFTEN has intentional and blatant homoeroticism. You really fucking think the writer would have written a scene like this purely naive of the fact that it could ever be read as yuri? Get real. The fact that you refuse to read a very clear romantic suggestion as a female character at very least expression some bisexual interest, and in fact, refuse to admit that it's even possible, sounds like a personal problem, not a problem with f/f shippers.
