I stronger prefer Thor's look in Ragnarok but Loki's best look was in first Thor.
The best Magneto and Mystique designs are from the first X-Men trilogy.
My favorite Link is from Ocarina of Time but that is nostalgia.

Steve's Stealth Suit in TWS is still my favourite of his uniforms, I'll take the more recent ones as they're inspired by that design but my fave will always be the WS one.
I liked Shatterstar's re-design in X-Factor Investigations, the long-coat with the swords hidden up the sleeves was something I really thought looked good.
Wanda's had many different outfits over the years, but the one where it was a long overcoat and leggings instead of her usual corset+cloak ensemble has been one of my favourites.
I don't have an overall favourite for Storm, as I've liked different elements from each of her outfit re-designs, but her current full body-suit+mowhawk is a good look and I am a fan.
While I don't mind the traditional swimsuit Wonder Woman wears, anytime a comic artist puts her in actual armor I like that better. Her movie outfit was decent but could have used some tweaking in areas, but at least it was proper armor to some degree.
Oh and Jaina's new look for BFA looks amazing, I love it.

Sorry, sorry, just going with a silver-lining here before BFA does something horrible with/to her. :P

(Anonymous) 2018-03-21 02:13 am (UTC)(link)(... okay, the purple look was cute, and it's probably just a nostalgia thing. But still. It was fun when they started giving her different school clothes, though.)

I want Mrs. Who's Camazotz dress.
Re: Based on #1
Thirding Cap's stealth suit (and shield!) from TWS, though I've liked all of his incarnations so far for different reasons.
I thought Usagi's original fuku is the best version of her fuku from a character design standpoint bc it's instantly recognizable, simple, and iconic (though her SuperS fuku with the striped skirt is my personal fav). Her Stars/eternal fuku is pretty bad and the elements don't work well together. Though none of her anime fukus are as good as the Sailor V-styled manga one used in some of the illustrations.
I think Garrus's armor/look is best in ME1 when he has the more slimmed down Turian armors of that game. ME2 and ME3 turn him into a hulking tank and a lot of the plating (esp of his ME3 armors) doesn't make much sense and makes him look out of place next to the casual Turian outfits.
The change in aesthetics in the Dragon Age elves was fucking terrible. Turning them into noodle people with rubber-forehead-alien faces in DA2/DAI was so fucking dumb I am still not over how stupid they fucking look in those games. JUST HAVING POINTY-EARED HUMANS IS FINE, BIOWARE. Particularly the Inquisitor, who's so skinny that certain armors practically glitch out on their teeny tiny arms.
