Writing awful characters as not bad at all and completely justified in every horrible thing they did. Nuance is great. Woobying is not, at least to me.

The prevalence of smut where the bottom or submissive character doesn't even seem to be enjoying themselves when at the same time the fic portrays the characters as in love and a great couple. Really? I get it when you're writing things like hate sex. But when you are writing a character being talked into sex they don't really want and then don't even enjoy when you want us to buy that the two characters are in love, I feel like I'm missing something.

Honestly I'd just love more enthusiastic, participatory bottoms/subs in general. But the above trope just bothers me.
