I have to work both days, as usual, but other than that, I'm just spending time with my kitties. One of my boys was diagnosed with cancer (a very fast growing tumor on his jaw) that I/the vet can't do anything about, so it is basically just giving him painkillers and spending time with him until I can't. Obviously I'm kinda a mess about it. I keep telling myself that at least I can spend this time with him and give him lots of love while I still can.

Thanks. I will do my best. Thankfully the pain killers seem to be working, so he isn't as miserable as he was this week (which is what prompted me to take him to the vet), so he is more tolerant of me petting the heck out of him.

Thanks. I hope so! I'm doing my best. I'm sad that I have to work so much tomorrow, but that's how I can afford to pay his vet bills, so it's a necessary evil.

Oh no, I’m sorry about your cat. Cancer is the worst.

Yeah. I had a cat who was 17 who got it in her shoulder, but she was able to live for months after. It still sucked, but my poor Eliot is only 11, and because it is fast-growing and in his jaw, the vet only gave me a week's worth of painkillers and seemed to think I might not even need that, which sucks even more. And he was just at the vet's three months ago, so it's not like I could really have done anything to catch it earlier. (Or that anything really could have been done even if it had been caught earlier, because of where it is.) At least the painkillers seem to be helping and he is in a better place than he was a few days ago.
