Someone I was beta-ing for forgot to mention the tortured cat when she sent me a bit to read.

It's not even graphic!

But I've been around cats since I was maybe three days out of my mother's womb, I've had to bury a few, I've had some die in my arms... a week later I'm still dealing with intrusive thoughts of what the body would feel like, wondering how much pain it was in dying, that someone might break into *my* house to kidnap my cats and torture them to death to hurt me...

So, yeah. Be kind to your betas, kids.

Oh god, I feel you. I have OCD and have intrusive thoughts about cat torture sometimes, and my response would've been the same as yours.
