I feel like she's the kind of secondary character who will likely get written out and left in production hell rather than be developed.

Which, honestly, might not be the worst possible outcome, from a fan point of view. Leaves the ground wide open for developing your own take and interpretation.

An extended history of that happening to LGBTQ characters in both Marvel and DC continuity.

Or more generally, the way both Marvel and DC treats characters who are not marketing franchise anchors.

But she really isn't a LGBTQ character except for Word of God. So not sure why you think that would be relevent. Marvel and DC have both been pretty good about bringing back supporting characters that fans support.

She's explicitly bi in comics canon. Northstar, Karma, Karolina Dean, and Wiccan have spent more time in production hell or on hiatus than in publication. And even in the MCU, multiple characters have just been written out when they've no longer been useful.
