I feel like after the next two Avengers films they're both goners (whether that be character death or not) and we as viewers are being gently introduced to the idea of a completely new Avengers team. Tbh I'm as burned out on Stark as the next burnt out on Stark person but even as someone more "team Cap" I also feel like he has had a full arc as well.

But certainly out of the two of them I think Tony's potential death will have more permanence than Cap's.

I'm not opposed to the idea of a new Avengers team but none of the newer additions are all that compelling to me.

I can see that. I'm actually at the point where I feel I might bail after next year as I've spent a decade of my life invested in this one overall storyline and I'm not sure if I've got the energy to continue. Good on the people who will continue and the people who will be in future films. I'm just not sure if I can commit!

I think they'll kill Steve this movie and bring him back the next Avengers. THEN "retire" him in case they need to bring him back for views.

From what little we know of the next Avengers (the one next year) there's a time travel element so anything is possible in the long run!

Chris Evans has certainly seemed like he'd be happy to be done in the past but some stuff he's said recently makes me not so sure.

At this point, no matter what happens I'm just assuming Bucky or Falcon will take over the Captain America mantle.

Chris Evans goes back and forth. Though, I think when he was keen on getting out, was when he was suffering from his worst social anxiety. He has gotten a lot better since then.

Yeah I think they'll change-up he main line-up too and I think most of the phase 1 characters are gonna go, either via death or just being written out.
