That cashier at the supermarket is going to go to Burger King on their break. They're going to do it twice this week (because BK is the closest and cheapest place to their workplace and they only have a half hour). They will gain weight, and put themselves at risk for diabetes (especially if they're choosing sodas). Fast food is also deceptively expensive! By shopping at this market, you're helping to pay their paycheck, and thus enabling them to live this unhealthy lifestyle.

It's for their own good if you get them fired.

that was hyperbole, btw. I agree. It looks stupid when you apply that logic to any job other than "internet based independent artist". Because most people wouldn't do that to a supermarket cashier, but they would to someone who makes art.
