New England clam chowder is too creamy and rich. I like something with a lighter broth

That's what chowder is, though. By definition it is made with milk or cream and thickened. If you have a thinner broth, it would be clam soup (or stew).

I hate Pepsi. I will only drink Diet Coke. But I'll only drink Sierra Mist (Sprite is too sweet, and I've never seen anyone carry lemon lime soda in diet).
