I love OT3s but I don't want just fluff. Having one character worry about being pushed out is nice. I also like when the characters just have to navigate the difficulties of regular relationship communication but with more people now. I want to see it work but I want to see the effort it took.

I kinda agree. I tend to avoid OT3 fics because they are mostly portrayed as orbiting around one character while the other two aren't as close. I wish more OT3's were actually well balanced.

Those are actually my favourite. I like the V relationships a lot better than the evenly balanced threesomes. It's all depending on the characters and the character dynamics, though, so even for me it's different with each fandom.
