Twilight of the Apprentice is okay but it didn't blow my mind. Same with the Mandalorian episodes in the Clone Wars, especially the one where Satine dies.

Blink in Doctor Who. I just did not find it scary or interesting. Maybe it was overhyped by fandom but I was bored watching it. Midnight is the superior horror episode of Doctor Who.

I like Blink okay but I LOVE Midnight and was surprised to hear how... derided it was in fandom?

Right? No clue what people dislike about it. I still get chills when the repeating changes from the alien to the Doctor.

I liked Blink but Midnight played on my mind so much more after the fact, so I consider it a much more effective horror episode.

Yeah, it was way more scary for me. Blink was more meandering.

Blink had some cool shots and moments, but Midnight just ramped up the creepy really well.

I like Blink only because it was the first episode I ever saw of Doctor Who, but I didn't find it scary at all. Midnight, on the other hand, really freaked me out.

Blink wasn't the first episode I saw but it was definitely the first thing I noticed fandom talking about a lot. Probably why I felt like it was underwhelming.

Blink and Midnight. Doctor and/or companion light episodes are never my favorites. And Blink wasn't particularly scary to me, so that rather ruined the effect.

The Girl in the Fireplace on Doctor Who. Everyone seems to have loved it, but I thought it was really dumb.

I personally liked it, but my friend hated it and thought it was stupid and saccharine.

I remember people being bent out of shape because Madame de Pompadour threatened Doctor/Rose and also supremely jealous because David Tennant was dating Sophia Myles at the time. Then there was a backlash to all of that and people stridently championing Reinette.

I thought the ep was okay.

OP

For me, it was because the Doctor started acting like some dumb-ass teenage boy about everything. I didn't ship him with Rose and I had no idea he was dating Sophia Myles until you just told me.

Body from Buffy. It was good, but it isn't the best episode.

It's not the best, no... but you honestly didn't find it any better than "good"?

NAYRT

For me, it was good... but the episode immediately following was much more of a gut-punch.

I think while "I, Mudd" has some great comedy, it's one of the least Trekkie Trek episodes.

Most of the Doctor Who reboot transition episodes.

Swan Song on Supernatural. Don't get me wrong, it's a good episode and I can see why a lot of people wish the show had ended there, but it depressed the hell out of me and I wouldn't count it as a favorite.

Jurassic Bark, from Futurama.

Transparently manipulative nonsense.

I found the episode sad, but not as soul-crushing as some other people have and I don't even know why.
