Aliens. I feel like Alien was a perfect horror movie, and Aliens ruins that. Alien is to me one of those movies that doesn't need a sequel. It is better alone. Plus, I just don't like Cameron's style. And his Ripley feels very different from the character of the first movie to me.

I did like Aliens, but damn if it ain't the same plot every sequel. By the fourth movie, I was laughing at parts that I'm sure I wasn't supposed to be laughing at.

Completely agree. I like Aliens as a pure action movie, but it's never been under-your-skin creepy to me like the original was. And the more they reveal about where the Xenomorphs came from (looking at you, Prometheus/Covenant) the less scary they are. :(

Agree, absolutely.

The first one is the only one I've ever rewatched; to me it has artistry. Aliens was just a by the book thriller with no sense of pacing.

I actually prefer Aliens over Alien because Alien (to me) did nothing to make me care about the people who were being killed. I felt no connection to anyone like I did with Aliens.

Ghost. Whoopi Goldberg was fun in it, but it's largely pretty stupid and very badly acted. Back in the day someone called it "the perfect yuppie movie because it shows there is still sex after death" and I think they got it right. I didn't realize there was nostalgia for it but apparently in some circles there is.

The Revenant. It was pretty, but that was about it. The plot was just so over the top with increasingly horrible things happening, that it was impossible to take serious. Dicaprio's acting was boring as fuck. He was just doing WWE pain acting. Grunts and scrunched faces.

I don't think "Birds" is that great. Too much is never explained, and the fact that Tippie Hedron(sp?) was actually catatonic puts a damper on the ending.

It's definitely the most overrated Hitchcock movie. But I grew up in Northern California and it was always cool if you headed up the coast to see the filming locations in Bodega Bay.

How Hitchcock treated Hedron has ruined all his movies for me. He was a sexist asshole.

it would have been better if they'd gone with the original ending. Also that stupid song the kids sing while the birds lurk on the jungle gym drives me BATSHIT.

I wish there was an edit that removed the Jack & Rose scenes and added the deleted scenes of the stuff that actually happened.

Sex and the City. People talked about it like it was pee-your-pants funny, and I didn't find it that funny. I also just couldn't relate to the characters, and still can't even now that I'm more their age.
