Right? A friend of mine gushed so much about her that I assumed she was the main character. I agree she's the emotional center of the movie, but that's not quite what I was expecting and it definitely wasn't this feminist example of representation, either.

Ya, I was a bit disappointed.

And while I have no horse in the game, being a White woman, it made me super-super sad for Asian-American women in contemporary America. If this depiction is the height of what one can expect -- that's really fucking dismal, and film-makers should be ashamed of themselves.
