Nominations Post!

It is time for Movie Club nominations!

Theme: For our next movie the theme is Neo-versions of old genres, like neo-noir, neo-westerns but NOT remakes or reboots. Make sure you can support that your movie is a neo-version if need be.

Rules (subject to change):
-One nomination per person.
-Must be available for rent on Amazon or iTunes, but if it streaming on Netflix or Hulu it helps!

Nominations will be open Monday-Wednesday. Voting will be on Thursday-Friday. The winner will be announced officially on Monday*. We will discuss the movie May 5th.

*I will close the poll on Friday (or early Saturday) so you can check the results if you want to see the winner before Monday.

I'm really confused by this category. Are there options besides neo noir or neo western? Or just those two?

Going to go with Star Wars: A New Hope. I'd say neo-adventure, neo-scifi, even neo-Western?

neo-Republic serial, maybe?

I'd allow it personally, although I'd also ask which specific Star Wars movie you were thinking - the first one?

First one. That's the one that clearly to me is supposed to be a new version of old classic styles.

Whatever other neo genres you can find would count. Just give me a link to some article or something so I know it is legitimate. Those are just the two most well known. Honestly, I am a bit unsure of what counts as a neo movie.
