NGL, you mostly just sound really jealous that "Imagines" are getting more praise than whatever you're putting out there. Which, if people are getting more enjoyment from plot bunnies than from your 70K-word opus... you might want to consider why that's the case. Or you could just keep yelling at clouds about how those darn tumblr kids are having fun wrong, if it makes you happier.

"You're just jealous!!!111" is always a good rebuttal.

NAYRT but... OP literally describes themselves as "salty AF" about the attention that imagines get

it's not really a stretch, is it

Imagines getting more attention than longfic is bad for longfic readers, too. It makes me salty that longfic authors are losing motivation to post their fics because imagines and other fics in that vein get far more attention for far less effort.

+1

Not everybody who hates them is a jealous hardworking author. Some of us are readers mostly, who want more real fic to read. Anything that demotivates fic writers hurts us too.

TBF the OP does point out that it's a lot harder to find fic with those concepts fully realized presumably because it's easier to get asspats by doing less work, so it can be affecting the whole sandbox for bitter readers too.
