OP, my family as a whole are reading nerds and it really started with my mother- who used to have about a whole bookshelf of just such trashy romance novels as you've used for your secret picture. She eventually stopped reading as much for life reasons but recently she's picked up a couple of books from the thrift store because she wanted to start reading again. And they're all the exact. Same. Type of books.

Basically what I'm saying is, you do you. If it gets you reading, it's good.
