Lived down the street from a commune, a bunch of artsy types all living in one house. Frequently loud music and parties, and people clearly high wandering around the street. And the piece de resistance was the couple who got into a massive fight, culminating in the lady setting fire to the gentleman's old beat-up car which he'd been planning to make into an art piece. (I wasn't there to witness that as I was away, but I turned up the next day to see the burnt shell of the car and hear the tales)
