Blood elves maybe weren't the best choice for this.

Night elves, kinda? Malfurion is pretty alien. He's gone full "wat" over the years.

Yeah the kaldorei (and now the shaldorei and whatever doeri the void elves are) in general are a better example.

Illidan as well!! Even Broll Bearmantle is a good example. But Blood Elves? Nope. Maybe the Blood Elves who have gone on to be Void Elves since they can sport the whole tentacle thing and are these deepish shades of purple now.

...Um...I can MAYBE give you the Night Elves to an extent and DEFINITELY the Nightborne, but High Elves/Blood Elves? Um, nope. They are just humans with longer ears, weird eyebrows, and glowing eyes. It's why there is almost always an Elf/Human pairing in this game (Turalyon/Alleria + half-elf son Arator, Sylvanas/Nathanos, Vereesa/Rhonin).

The elves in the Elder Scrolls are somewhat alien in appearance, though not necessarily beautiful. The Bosmer have these big black eyes and filed teeth (at least, the ones in Valenwood have filed teeth), and the Altmer are angular and sickly looking.

The Dunmer are physically and culturally perfect.

what about this is otherworldly? even her skin tone is boringly human. they could have at least given her purple skin or some cool markings.

Yeaaa... Blood Elves aren't a good example to use since they pretty much are just pretty humans with longer ears and green eyes. Night-Elves or Nightborne would be better picks in that regard because they do look quite substantially different from humans.

Maybe Void-Elves as well given the old-god juju they've got going on but that's less of an evolved race and more of a group of idiots who fucked around with void-magic and it bit them in the ass.
