Honestly? I ignore him. The man is old and WAAAAAY stuck in his time. And he doesn't act anymore.

But I love his movies. This is an instance where I just ignore the actor as a person and just concentrate on his ACTING.

That and my two favorite films with him are this one and Hunt for Red October.

Legends characters can come back. They brought back Thrawn, and are going to have Tag and Bink in the new Solo movie.

Also, there could be another character with a deeply impactful story of addiction (or anything else people really loved). And the character is still there in Legends to enjoy.

I wish they had either gone full ethereal or full Walking Dead (as you call it). Both ends of the spectrum can be spooky but IMO it was kind of caught between in an awkward and not scary or even really visually pleasing way.
