Well to be fair, American food has got a bad rep. The main American food programs on shoe here are Man vs food and Diners, Drive ins and Dives. Your food is crap.

... as opposed to the reputation of British food, which is untouchable.

Sorry, much rather go to a soul food restaurant than anywhere with English or Irish food. Fucking repulsive.

This is probably one of the dumbest comments I've ever read. I have a hard time believing it's not a troll. The notion that American food is crap because of two American cooking shows that most Americans don't even like is absolutely ridiculous. And pretty when world-blind too!

But you don't even have to be in the know about how popular they are in their home country to know they're just two shows! Literally half the American cooking shows on the Cooking Channel dwarf these two awful shows ruining the Food Network! But not everyone can get the Cooking Channel because cable.

I'm not even going to insult British cuisine, because it's a varied one full of history, and the desserts especially are quite good. Just like American food. But yeah I get it, America is the only truly acceptable target in the the world, same song and dance as always.

Also, like anon said above, we have soul food. So fuck off.
