Confess, OP...

(Anonymous) 2018-04-13 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Was this a troll secret for one of the most innocuous fandoms on FS or what?

No. It was genuine surprise you cockwomble.

The reason people think you're a troll, OP, is that this is a ridiculous, left field opinion to have. If you were right, the majority of comments here would likely be agreeing with you. You're claiming that it's impossible for anyone British on the programme to have known that apple pie is considered an American symbol. You're also poisting that it's ridiculous for any contestant to have discovered this tidbit of information before the filming, as contestants have a week to research and prepare for their signature challenge (in case you haven't seen the episode, the American Fruit Pie challenge was the signature one). Maybe think on that a bit, you absolute twatwaffle?

You know what? Let me retract that; I remembered it wrong. The American lidless pie was the showstopper challenge, not the signature one. Which the contestants ALSO have a week or more to prepare for.

And, oh my god, the episode itself had a history lesson on why SPECIFICALLY apple pie is considered American. This gets better and better.

Makes the original outrage from the Yanks a bit more ridiculous then.

this whole thing is very, very silly

But the secret was about the outrage in FS,not the episode.

nayrt - Honestly, it would've been less embarrassing if you were trolling.
