Writing Advice Thread

So I'm about to start writing chapter five of my Pokemon/Voyager crossover, Star Trek: Heart Gold, but I have a few problems I've been having trouble sorting out before I begin.

1. Though the fic is set in G4's Heart Gold, I kinda really want to implement fairy types into the story, even though they don't canonically exist until X/Y and their inclusion would make the Clair and Lance battles kind of a joke. Would this be a terrible idea?

2. Without giving too many details away, I'm trying to come up with a Seven of Nine-esque name for an exceptionally creepy Mareep.

Any input would be appreciated! Also, if you have writing questions of your own, feel free to ask 'em here.

1. I don't think that's necessarily a terrible idea. Fairy types would technically exist, they just wouldn't have been discovered at the time of HGSS. Idk how you're planning to incorporate fairy types, but maybe it could be similar to Voyager discovering a new planet or alien species and learning about it? Seven could somehow find a new creature nobody knows about. It depends how you wanna write it.
