I find Vader as dad a really interesting plot point that I do wish was explored more. He only learns about Leia right before he died. What would he have thought/done if he'd learned about it earlier? He tortured her and her boyfriend. But she's like Padme. And she's strong in the Force too.

And I'm also fascinated by Luke and Vader's relationship. Vader killed the Emperor for his son. He wanted to rule the galaxy with him, like he did with Padme. What would have happened if Vader had lived? I mean, it gets bogged down because Vader has some serious shit to atone for and any story about that should rightly deal with the after-effects of the evil he's caused. But I'd love more of Vader realizing he's a dad and what that means for him.
