Any reason why in particualr?

Bees/wasps/hornets. Got stung on my toe putting my shoe on once as a kid.

Ants. Stepped on a red ant nest once as a kid. Been scared of ant swarms ever since.

not afraid of them but I hate mice.

Terrified of horses. Can't really explain why, though.

Dogs.

Horses. I don't even know why since I spent my summers on my grandpa's farm and there are lots of horses there. I just think they're scary.

Up until a few minutes ago I was scared of a mouse. Turned out the mouse was an ice pack and now I'm not afraid anymore. :D

Spiders. Couldn't begin to explain why but I am utterly terrified of everything about them, from the way they move to the way they look. They're the ultimate nightmare fuel for me.

Spiders, turkeys and bison. I mostly fear spiders because one time one jumped into my hair as I was walking outside, and I thought it was a leaf and reached up to brush it off, next thing I know there's a searing pain in my ring finger and that eight-legged little fuckstain is skittering off to plot more evil. By the next day, my entire left hand was three times its normal size. Also, spiders are just creepy and awful in general.

I'm scared of turkeys because I got attacked by two great big ones on the bike trail one time. They belonged to a farm that was right next to the trail, and were allowed to wander wherever the fuck they wanted, apparently. So I was biking with my mom and her friend, and I'm a few miles ahead, and I get to the farm to find both turkeys in the middle of the path. I slow down to try and figure out how to get by them, and the little feathery fucks start circling me, forcing me to keep my bike between me and them and circle with them. Any time they saw an opening, they'd attack. Clearly, they'd done this before. This went on for almost ten minutes before my mom and her friend caught up, at which point the turkeys lost interest in me and began to terrorize them. However, this freed me to run ahead, grab a big stick and channel my inner Xena. Bellowing, I charged at them, brandishing my stick and managing to chase them off long enough for the three of us to get back on our bikes and haul ass outta there. Since then, I've developed a healthy fear of turkeys and have really enjoyed Thanksgiving dinners.

I fear bison because this hellhole ranch I used to board Sharif at (rest in peace, you beautiful angel) raised them. Let me tell you something, those giants are anything but gentle. They gored a horse to death once, and would charge at anything on two legs. Every now and then the owners would put them in the pasture that lead to the trails, and if that happened when you were planning to ride, well, enjoy the arena. One time my friends and I didn't know the bison were in that pasture until we were halfway across it, and you better believe we hauled ass back to the barn. You don't fuck with the buff'.

Afraid of bats because they carry rabies. I don't hate them - I love pictures of cute bats. I just don't want to get anywhere near them in real life. Fortunately that is not generally an issue.

Wasps. Not like the teeny ones that polinate figs or whatever, but the kinds that sting you. Also yellowjackets (are they wasps? Idk.). I’ve been stung by a lot of bees, but yellowjackets only a couple of times and I’m lucky those were my feet and not my face or neck because my legs swelled like crazy. And same with wasps with bonus “fuckers don’t die when they sting you” bullshit. My ankle turned a weird color and texture (idk, kind of spongey?) for a day or two.

Squishy things like slugs and leeches. They just make me shudder.

Cows. I know it's stupid.

Also raccoons, because RAAAAAABIES! My neighborhood is lousy with raccoons--they travel through the storm sewers, and they aren't even slightly afraid of people.

Large dogs. When I was a little kid, my parents' friends had a dog that would jump on me and knock me down. They though it was cute or something, I guess, so it kept happening. I've worked on that fear, and I'm much taller now, but I'm still very wary around large dogs.
