I watched it and it was pretty good. No spoilers, but the ending is a little anticlimactic and the main character gets a little more annoying with each episode. Lol, not because of her hair, but that doesn't help.

It looks to me like it's supposed to look kind of punk. No idea if that fits with the character. Longer bangs definitely would have been more flattering.

I think it's supposed to be modern/trendy? The character is definitely not a punk, she's a classical solo cellist who's gotten popular in the mainstream music scene.

I wouldn't choose that for myself, but I've been watching so many sci-fi/fantasy things where people look all kinds of wack that I didn't even immediately ping this as weird, sans context.

It's very European imo. Reminds me of Germany in the 90s and grunge youth culture of a sort. But its a current trend. Emma Roberts had hers cut like that recently too. I've seen people call the fringe "baby bangs" or a "micro-fringe" if that helps people with the name of the style.

I was kind of disappointed with the show for not-hair reasons. It started strong but then got weird and I didn't like the ending. But it wasn't terrible.

The penny-pincher in me cringes at the thought that she probably paid someone a lot of money to do that when the same look can be achieved at home with a pair of sharp scissors and a small mixing bowl. But in the end, it’s her hair and she can do what she wants with it.
