I prefer the old artstyle and I especially hate what happened to Farangis. The fuck is that "outfit"? This is especially ironic because I keep seeing this post going around about how the female FMA characters are so sensibly and flawlessly designed and their boobs move realistically because A WOMAN designed them and all I can think of is Farangis' shitty design and shrug. (It seems to be inspired by one of the newer cover artworks for the novels but still. It's just bad.)

At least my favourite character (Narsus) didn't actually change all that much. I won't be following the series anymore though because I'm petty and my NOTP became canon and even if the series will take ages to get there if it even does at all, it's a huge Do Not Want for me.

It becomes less obvious the less context you have for it, and I think most people have probably encountered it with very little context - I know that's how I've encountered.

I can't speak for people who actually played the game.
