At least the ghosts in Crimson Peak were actually trying to help her out so you don't need to be all that scared really. Ok so the way a couple of them went about their warnings was kind of terrifying but nobody's perfect!

I’m fine with that assuming I get the classic willowy or hourglass heroine build to fill out the nightgown, although I’m good on blonde hair and big boobs. But I would like some boots with good tread, supportive underwear, a warm dressing gown with pockets, and a lighter. The candelabra works as a light source, but I’m gonna need the lighter to relight the candles after using it as a blunt instrument on the big bad.

In the movie the ghosts were mostly trying to be helpful, but they couldn’t do much. Edith had the right idea stabbing Lucille with the pen, but she should’ve followed it up by immediately braining her with a candlestick or a chair, blaimed the murders on concussed and shortly to be dead Lucille, and rescued both men.
