Not that FFX is a fandom of mine, but

what things in your fandoms or shows you watch or games you've played gets pointed out by people who have never watched/seen/played the canon and have no context, who take it the wrong way?

People think Vash the Stampede from Trigun eats donuts constantly and is giddy with joy when he does it. He does eat them a few times, and I'll admit he seems to really love them, though one time he eats them and bursts out crying anyway. And he eats a lot of other foods.

But somehow it becomes "Every fanart of Vash the Stampede must involve him going crazy over donuts," and I think that's partly because of people who aren't familiar with the canon and have only seen pictures of Vash with donuts.

The other way around: I keep assuming that the Fire Emblem Games are basically very weird people breeding games because that's really ALL some of the people I know who play the games keep talking about.

Let's assume this person is clean (both in terms of hygiene and STDs) and not a psycho killer. It's just straight up fairly vanilla sex, no weird shit. But it's someone you wouldn't necessarily want to have sex with on your own,for whatever reason.

Where are you? What is your national cuisine like and what's your favorite traditional food?

I sometimes think I have minor face blindness. Looking online, it must be a minor version because there are people who can't even watch movies. Mine - if it exists - isn't that bad.

But for instance, I had two coworkers start in my office around the same time. Both had black hair and really pale skin. That is where their similarities ended. Their faces were completely different shapes, and even their hair itself wasn't that similar. But it took me MONTHS to tell Courtney from Rachel. Another time, I made conversation with a classmate, only to realize it wasn't her (and probably confused her in the process). The girls actually DID look a little similar, but not that similar. They both had darker hair and glasses.

I also thought Tina Fey and Megan Mullaly were the same person. I thought Tina Fey must be one helluva good voice actress.

It's also led me to being mistaken for being racist, unfortunately. :/ But the thing is, it's not a "all Group X look the same" issue. I literally have trouble with ANYONE who has vaguely similar features.

Is that possible face blindness, or am I just bad at paying attention?
