My dad brought this up after seeing Gone Girl. He thought that the whole setup and web of lies thing that Amy pulled was eerily similar to my mother. My mother didn't murder or frame anybody but there was a huuuge, going years back, premeditated manipulation on her part to steal my dad's money, disappear to start a new life, abandon her family and twist stories or make up new ones to get people on her side and make my dad out to be a horrible person.
