I have a slight headache and I'm sort of half-watching Sixers-Heat, half browsing F!S, and half trying to read about gamification for a job interview which annoys me, and I feel like I shouldn't have a headache or be annoyed, which then annoys me slightly more

Walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Also, opened it up to clean the motor, lubed it, and made sure the treads were on tightly enough. I've only ate a bagel and cream cheese today though, so I am starving. Calorie counting sucks. But I must be strong!

I am also calorie counting, and it's going more or less OK so far but it's only been a week. Today I did one on those Leslie Sansone "Walk at Home" things for 15 minutes. Which isn't much but it's something.

hah! It has only been a week for me as well. :D

I'm watching Aggretsuko on Netflix and it's pretty funny and cute so far. I never thought I'd identify so much with a Sanrio character.

I would not have expected so much swearing in something from Sanrio.

Lol Me neither! It's funny seeing Retsuko call someone an ass.

Nothing much. Need to get the flat in order because I'm away next weekend and don't want to be embarrassed when my neighbours come inside to feed the cats. Motivation is low, though, and now I'm watching Ghost Wars on Netflix.

Recovering from a hangover after going to a male strip/dance club last night. Though "strip" is not really the right word, since the dudes were just naked and had nothing to strip off.

It was not my idea to go, just to disclaim, since it was for a bachelorette party. But it was kind of a fascinating mix of patrons: gay dudes and bachelorette groups (it was technically a gay club but the only place in town you can see full nude male dancers, so women made up about half the crowd). The stripper/dancers/whatever you call them were absolutely godly looking and had enormous dicks that they managed to keep erect all night, and I find it weirdly fascinating how they played it up for both the men and women groping them and shoving dollar bills at them. And I felt like I was in bizarro fandom land because the dancers would occasionally do gay stuff with each other and the women would go absolutely nuts.

Honestly, I would've paid all my twenties just to have a conversation with one and ask them what it's like to work there, and if they notice any difference between how the female and male patrons act. I'd heard that most male dancers/strippers pretty much make all their money at gay clubs/parties, and even today there's still not a well-established industry for women do hire male strippers, so it's kind of interesting that this place was so 50/50.

If they are anything like porn stars, most of them are straight and taking crazy amounts of viagra.

From what I've heard for "normal" strip shows, female patrons tend to be much more aggressive when it comes to touching/ignoring boundaries but not sure how this would apply to this situation since it souns like that was encouraged?

A friend I had in college was a go-go dancer at a gay club. I went a few times to see them at work. At the time identified as a gay man, but has since transitioned. One of the most interesting people I've ever met, even if their life is a bit much for me sometimes.

straight women who go to gay clubs for their bachelorette parties are some of the worst customers anyone will ever deal with

Well, I went down to do my laundry, and discovered that one my sisters put it in the machine for me. Which, I mean, she meant well and all, but now my wool skirt is an ex wool skirt and I am a bit miffed. :(

Only one week till Infinity War

I made green curry and now I have to eat it with beer because the heat is half a level above what I can tolerate.

I recognize that that's most likely a problem for you

But I have to say that seems like a really good outcome

I love green curry, and well usually I have to add potatoes to green curry because I tend to over curry it-- but luckily the potatoes soak up most of the heat so that after it's sat overnight in the fridge, it actually becomes tolerable for me to eat.

I had to go catch my escapee chicken in my front yard twuce before I left the house today. She’s really set on laying eggs in the bushes. Then I walked to the library and dropped off some (overdue, oops) books, then swung by the post office to pick up a registered mail letter I didn’t find out about until yesterday. It’d literally just been marked return to sender, but they found it. Then I went and bought some plants for the garden. I’m gonna go get groceries and maybe do some laundry once my phone’s done charging.

I meant to get far more done today than I actually managed, so mostly just annoyed at myself right now.

Internet has been out all day. And I've got a really bad sinus headache. So I napped most of the afternoon.

Fretting over my cat who's obliviously snoozing next to me. He came in an hour ago and his breathing's weird, like it's a touch quicker than normal and like he's breathing through his stomach more than his chest, if that makes sense. :(

Otherwise he seems really happy and cuddly and ate all the food I gave him, but I'm worried. It's gone midnight where I am so no chance of a vet till the morning. We've had a heatwave over the past few days and I know he likes to sunbathe, so maybe he's overheated a bit?

Discovering that my city's property taxes are absolutely insane and thus having to scale back my already low estimate of what I can afford for a house. I will probably end up in a shack on Murder St.
