I find that it's more common in certain fandoms. I remember a while back some Korean vloggers asked for Kpop fic recs and people went crazy and deleted all their fic.

I also feel like tumblr makes fandom a little more transient with the way people change tumblr names at the drop of a hat and links break and stuff gets deleted. It's sad.

I don't even bother to follow links to fanart on tumblr anymore, because 90% of the time I got a "page doesn't exist" message when I did. :-(
