There's a difference between being humiliated by saying something stupid around others, and the sexual kink humiliation of, say, being tied up naked and on display like an object for a crowd of people. It's not humiliating in the same way, but calling it humiliation kink is a pretty good descriptor of the kinds of scenarios one finds arousing.

I get what it is (re: the kink). The fandom world of BDSM is so fuzzy and soft and touchy-feely and 'affirming' (everybody agreeing that it's perfectly okay to sub or dom or whatever), i just don't get how anyone can work humiliation into that scenario.

Maybe there are more hard-core BDSM stories out there, or maybe i just don't get being humiliated by something you want that everyone you know has assured you is fine.

*shrugs*

Another reason i rarely read BDSM, since most of it is simply not to my taste.
