So many horse books. Black Beauty, King of the Wind, Misty of Chincoteague, The Black Stallion (and ALL the sequels).

The Little House on the Prairie Books.

The Shiloh trilogy. The Howliday Inn and Bunnicula series. The Plants That Ate Dirty Socks.

The Ramona Quimby books.

Sooooooo many other books about animals.

The Ramona Quimby books are so damn good.

So many things from those books are just distinctive as hell in mind. Particularly, when she made the sandal out of paper towels, the toothpaste, and getting car sick.
